How to read the three figures above: every part is drawn as a schematic box, so boxes of neighboring parts touch and overlap on the plan - that is the model's drawing, not a double count in the takeoff. Two lines drawn in the same space is the check that matters: two different takeoff lines whose solids share one volume in 3D, each pair listed under Checks. A geometry problem is a box the model could not draw cleanly; the quantity on its line is unchanged.
